Dish questions

I pulled the trigger and ordered the MikroTik mANT30 parabolic dish antenna (5GHz 30dBi MTAD-5G-30D3) from Amazon which arrived yesterday and the 5GHz BaseBox5 (RB912UAG5HPnDOT) from Streakwave to assure I got the international version, something I was not comfortable with via Amazon. Although I had originally intended to, I did not buy the dish with the precision alignment mount nor did I get the sleeve kit. *Should send the dish back and get the one with the precision mount?* *How about the sleeve kit?* I’m still not sure where I’ll mount the dish, I have an available location on the roof ridge but there are already 3 other antennas on that ridge. I’ve considered mounting under the eaves but mine are very deep and I can’t envision myself hanging over the edge 2 stories up tweaking on alignment. Thanks in advance for your help. If you had a station on there that wasn't using the HamWAN scan-list and therefore didn't re-connect automatically, please update your configuration. This brings the sector back in line with the rest of the network. Thanks! --Bart

Need Power High on Tower

We hope to put our HamWAN Sectors up at about the 500 foot level on a commercial tower. CAT-6 is limited to 330 feet; then it needs to connect to an active component to then break out a line(with PoE) for each Sector Device(Up to an additional 330 feet). Have any of you put your equipment higher than 330 feet on a tower? How did you get the power up to the Midway device to power the second set of 330 foot PoE lines? Ideas??? 73 Ken Tolliver K7ICY

Larch Mt only covers East Portland and Downtown though. I think there is a small contingent of us West Metro PDX folks eagerly looking for info on the Stonehenge plan so we can get connected. Hello, I'm wondering about plans for a relay that would be accessible from the west side. I'm in the garden home area. I've heard some tentative reports of a site at Stonehenge, is this still going on? Thanks! -Nate

Baldi's back on UPS power

We've had an internal thread + coordinated response on netops@ about this, but I don't think anyone's notified the PSDR list yet. Here's the current Baldi power status: The UPS has been on battery for 16 hours 6 minutes 48 seconds. There are 28 hours 20 minutes of runtime remaining. The time remaining estimate may or may not be accurate. We have shut down unnecessary loads. Camera remains operational. I also attempted to setup APC PowerChute automatic power failure -> server shutdown software. The APC appliance didn't quite work, and I need to take a 2nd pass at configuring it. It is not known at this time if this is another mains line cut, or a failure of a generator that may have been deployed. --Bart

North end of Camano Island connection/signal information

Hi everyone. My name is James Lehr and I'm really excited about what ya'll are doing here. I'm a general licence holder, an electrician, and an industrial controls and automation technician. I live on the north end of Camano Island about 3 miles west of Stanwood. It looks like I'm a candidate for connection from everything I've read and looked at. I'd like to start a conversation about getting on and also about getting involved in helping with.... well everything. If it would be easier to have a conversation over a phone call let me know I'll put my number up.
