Back on 8/21 I sent out a request for info regarding the following sites that were discussed earlier this year: 1. Lookout Mtn 2. Gold Mtn 3. Buck Mtn 4. Rattlesnake Ridge 5. Blyn Mtn 6. Added since initial email: a. Mt Constitution b. Gig Harbor c. SnoCo SERS Granite Falls (possible – next year candidate) To date I’ve only received responses for the following locations: 1. Buck Mtn – in process w/Kenny. (info in other threads) 2. Gig Harbor – time TBD, not weather critical (Kenny) 3. Rattlesnake – Any day now. Priority project for DMR support before the weather changes. Being coordinated between Rob Ghatham AF7PR and Tom for tech support. Equipment funded by Rob AF7PR. Climber needed. 4. Lookout – Weather limiting by end of October? Rob Chatham AF7PR is the site contact. Rob S willing to coordinate. Equipment BOM in review between Bart and Scott Honaker. SnoDEM potential assistance with hardware (hoops exist to jump through). This site has significant regional improvements it could offer into Skagit/Whatcom/Island counties. Ready immediately per Rob AF7PR but we have to schedule the timing and resources. I’m working to schedule a site visit to survey. Need to know from others what PTP links we are looking to do here and develop BOM. I have received no information regarding Blynn or Gold, and have very little on Constitution. Given the short remaining season and available help, I recommend we hold Blynn until next year. What remains for Gold? CLIMBERS NEEDED. We are extremely limited for climbers at this time. Our existing climbers have been tapped for time, particularly as they have also been “on the hook” for building/configuring the equipment as well. I am willing to build and configure equipment (others are welcome as well). We MAY be able to get short windows from our current climbers if the rest is done, but we really need MORE climbers. Let me know if anyone is willing to do the climbing work, whether you are certified and/or have your own gear. If you have any additional info on the above projects, please let me know. At a minimum I would like to see us get Rattlesnake, Lookout, and Buck done in the next 30 days before the snow flies. There are other low-elevation projects to keep us busy this winter. Thanks, Rob Salsgiver – NR3O
You can put my name down as the owner for Mt. Constitution (Conny) for now. There are a lot of things to still be worked out before I can submit a full plan to HamWAN, but it can happen over the winter. Thanks Kenny On Mon, Sep 10, 2018 at 3:10 PM Rob Salsgiver <rob@nr3o.com> wrote:

There is an EmComm focussed initiative to push a backbone over the Cascades to Yakima. It's is the "talking and making friends stage". The belief is that Yakima is likely to be unaffected by a serious natural disaster occuring in Puget Sound. That a backbone link over the Cascades would be helpful to reach an alternative internet connection outside Puget Sound. That a mutual aid system may develop between EmComm groups on both sides to help one another in a time of need. For example, operators in Yakima could assist from remote to pass traffic in/out of a disaster area, etc. Potential Site Names.
From Baldi heading East. Ravens Roost (Backbone) [also known as AT&T American River] Bethel Ridge (Backbone and possibly 1 sector) Elephant Mountain (Backbone and Sector) I would anticipate a staged implementation that might focus on the Yakima end first, get sectors up, users connected, then build the backbone west over the Cascades as incremental step.
As noted, this is in the "talking and making friends stage" and while we hope it develops, as a practical matter it may not. Randy W3RWN On Mon, Sep 10, 2018 at 3:10 PM Rob Salsgiver <rob@nr3o.com> wrote:

Matthew, Thanks for the note. Probably this week I’ll go through and do an update on all of the sites in the list to try to get some plans for what may be left of this year and lining things up for next spring. Are you the primary contact for Blynn with regard to getting HamWAN setup at the site, or are there others involved? I would like to get a more complete picture of what is desired/allowed/needed at the site so I can work on getting equipment lined up and plans laid out. What are we looking at for site elevation there, and when (approximately) does access become limited by snow or other weather issues? Hi Rob. I would be the primary contact as its just me that operates and maintains the repeater. The site is about 2000' ASL and the tower on site is 85' AGL. My repeater antenna is at the 85' level. https://www.qrz.com/db/KC7EQO/R Above link has some pictures and info that may help. On access, not sure with all the logging that went on last year and this summer if that will effect access I can get up there just about all year round unless we get a heavy snow fall. I have a Jeep and a Chevy 4X4 truck. *Matthew Lawson* *KC7EQO* *442.100 + 100 Hz PL Blyn Mt Repeater* *http://www.qrz.com/db/KC7EQO/R <http://www.qrz.com/db/KC7EQO/R>* <https://www.linkedin.com/in/mlawsonkc7eqo> On Sun, Oct 28, 2018 at 7:35 PM Rob Salsgiver <rob@nr3o.com> wrote:
